3.10 Configuration Management (CM) Support
Under multiple contracts, Wyle has provided CM Support to PMA-213, PMA-265, PMA-231, PMA-290; NAWCWD (F-14 Program), JSF Program Office and the U.S. Coast Guard Operation Deep Water program. This experience includes detailed review of ECPs to analyze technical and cost issues and to identify impacts on logistic support, development of tailored automated systems for configuration status accounting and tracking, development of configuration management plans, maintenance of configuration/product baselines, and participation in functional and physical configuration audits. To accommodate the unique requirements of PMA-213/Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATC&LS), Wyle developed a Configuration Management/Control Policies and Procedures manual tailored to accommodate these unique requirements and still meet the intent of CM requirements established by AIR-1.1. Wyle has more than 15 years of experience using tracking databases such as the NAVAIR Configuration Management Information System and Optimized Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System. Wyle also developed a proprietary, automated status accounting and tracking system (VSATS) that is being used by several NAVAIR PMAs.
Under contract N68936-00-D-0068 as prime contractor in support of the F-14 Program, Wyle maintained equipment configuration lists for NAWCWD based on re-located NAWCWD aircraft, and tracked the configuration of approximately 2000 WRAs and SRAs.
