3.3 Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation and Analysis Support

Wyle has extensive experience in providing modeling, simulation and analysis support for the F-14 and F/A-18 programs and the NAWCWD 4.0 Ballistics Modeling Group. In one example, Wyle generated NATOPS safe escape profiles for all strike platforms, which preclude close air support vehicle damage resulting from bomb pattern detonations. In another example, Wyle used a dynamic analysis tool called Fleet Sight while conducting cost benefit analyses to determine whether to provide F/A-18A-D aircraft with F/A-18E/F style Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).

As prime contractor under contract N68936-00-D-0068, Wyle provided modeling and simulation services to support enhanced weapon system capabilities for Fleet needs.  Wyle developed a complete F-14D/AIM-7 Missile Launch Acceptance Region (LAR) Simulation incorporating aircraft/missile LAR requirements needed to perform validation and testing in the F-14D Weapon System Integration Center Laboratory. F-14A-D Multi-mode Gun Site models and simulations were also developed by Wyle engineers to enhance and improve aircraft 20 mm cannon engagement scenarios and capabilities.
